Starting SIMS Administration Console for
HA Systems

To start the Administration Console for a SIMS/HA system, do the following steps:

  1. Stop the HTTP daemon

  
# /etc/init.d/http stop
 

as a root user.
  2.

  
# /etc/init.d/http start
 

Restart SIMS.
  3. Bring up the HotJava browser required by SIMS Administration Console as a non-root user

  
% /usr/dt/bin/hotjava

  4. Start the SIMS/HA Administration Console.

  
http://<ha-logical-hostname>/sims/
 

  where ha-logical-hostname is the logical name assigned to the HA machine that you used during installing SIMS/HA, for example, relo-up.
