Configuring Sun Web Access

You can perform any of the configuration options discussed here from an administrator-secure computer, the Java Web Server Administration Console, or from any networked computer. For more information about Java Web Server administration, go to http://<hostname>:9090/system/doc/administration/main.html or http://jserv.javasoft.com/products/java-server/documentation/index.html. This requires that a web server already be running on port 9090.

Configuring Web Access involves several post-installation options and considerations, including:

Restarting the Web Access Server
Changing the port number
Establishing secure service
Extending Web Access capabilities
Using an alternate JVM
Using Web Access with a Netscape for Solaris Browser
Using Web Access with a HotJava Browser or a JavaStation
Changing the LDAP server

Note - You cannot monitor Sun Web Access processes by using the SIMS Administration Console.
