Note - It is highly recommended that this machine be set up as a DNS server. If you already have another DNS server in your organization, set up this machine as a secondary DNS server or a DNS client.
The SIMS software is compatible with JVM 1.1.3.
The name service (NIS or NIS+) requires that the machine designated as the mail server uses a fully-qualified DNS name.
The Message Store must be installed on a local disk and not on an NFS or other remote file system mounted partition in Solaris.
