このリリースノートは、Sun Open Net Environment (ONE) Studio 4 製品の Community Edition (CE) および Enterprise Edition for Java (EE) のリリースノートです。

Sun ONE Studio 4 update 1 リリースノートには、Sun ONE Studio 4 (旧 Forte for Java) リリースノートの内容のほか、このリリースに追加された重要な機能や削除された機能、また、このリリースで追加されたバグに関する情報が含まれています。

注: Sun ONE Studio 4 を使用するには、Java 2 Software Development Kit, Standard Edition (J2SE [tm] SDK) v. 1.4.0_02 (Sun ONE Application Server を使用する場合) または 1.3.1_01 以上 (その他のサーバーを使用する場合) が必要です。

ネイティブコネクタツールを使用して C/C++ の関数およびデータオブジェクトをラップし、それらを Java クラスとして伝達することができます。このツールにより、新規 Java プロジェクトへの移行が簡単になります。さらに、従来のコードをサービスとして配備することもできます。

ネイティブコネクタツールの基本的な使用法については、『NCT クイックスタートガイド』/opt/s1studio/ee/docs/locale/nct_quickstart_ja.pdf を参照してください (Sun ONE Studio 4 のインストール先が /opt 以外の場合は、ご使用のシステムにおける該当パスをシステム管理者に確認してください)。

ツールのデモを実行するには、IDE のメインウィンドウから「ヘルプ」->「ヘルプセット」->「ネイティブコネクタツールヘルプ」に移動し、目次から「NCT の使用例」を選択します。

Sun ONE Studio 4 の「出力ウィンドウ」が再実装され、よりコンソールに近い動作をすることができるようになりました。次のような機能が新しく提供されます。

プログラムパフォーマンス解析ツール

Solaris 8 オペレーティング環境、SPARC プラットフォームで利用可能

パフォーマンス解析ツールを使用すると、プログラムのパフォーマンス評価、パフォーマンスの潜在的な問題点、および問題が発生する可能性のあるコード部分の特定などを簡単に行えます。このツールには、タイミングデータとハードウェアイベントデータの収集、ライブラリルーチンの呼び出しのトレース、および関数、ソース行、命令のパフォーマンスメトリックの表示を行う機能があります。パフォーマンスデータを時系列で確認することもできます。

Java プログラムでは、タイミングデータとハードウェアカウンタデータの収集と解析を行えます。Java HotSpot[tm] 仮想マシンでコンパイルされたメソッドについて、パフォーマンスメトリックがメソッド単位で表示されます。コンパイルされたメソッドには多くの時間が必要となるため、このようなツールは解釈されたメソッドを表示するほかのツールと補完的に使用します。

制約: データの収集は必ずバージョン 1.4 以上の Java 2 SDK を使用し、collect コマンドを実行して行なってください。解釈されたメソッドやソース行のメトリックは表示できません。

C、C++、Fortran の各プログラム、および Java プログラムから呼び出されたこれらの言語の関数については、すべてのデータ型を収集できるとともに、パフォーマンス解析ツール (パフォーマンスアナライザ) の全機能を利用できます。

Solaris NLS (ネイティブ言語サポート) モジュールを使用している場合は、「デバッグ」メニューからデータの収集およびパフォーマンスアナライザの起動ができます。このモジュールにより、実験と呼ばれるパフォーマンスデータセットをエクスプローラでサポートしています。パフォーマンスアナライザを起動するには、実験データのノードをダブルクリックします。

パフォーマンス解析ツールを使用するには Sun ONE Studio 7, Compiler Collection ソフトウェアリリースへのアクセスが必要です。

Solaris ネイティブ言語サポートモジュールは、次のプログラミング言語で書かれたコードの編集とコンパイルをサポートします。

また、以下の言語で書かれたコードのデバッグとパフォーマンス解析ができます。

基本的な手順については、『Solaris ネイティブ言語サポートクイックスタートガイド』 /opt/s1studio/ee/docs/locale/solaris_nat_lang_quickstart_ja.pdf を参照してください。Sun ONE Studio 4 のインストール先が /opt 以外の場合は、 ご使用のシステムにおける該当パスをシステム管理者に確認してください。

バージョン管理システムのサポート

WebLogic
WebLogic プラグインは、CMP Version 1.x EJB をサポートしません。

EJB 2.0 仕様には、CMP version 1.x と CMP version 2.x の 2 種類のバージョンの CMP エンティティ Bean が規定されています。
CMP version 1.x エンティティ Bean は、EJB 1.1 CMP 仕様に準拠しています。CMP version 2.x エンティティ Bean は、EJB 2.0 CMP 仕様に準拠しています。

Sun ONE Studio は、CMP version 1.x と 2.x の両方のエンティティ Bean の開発をサポートしています。しかし WebLogic プラグインは、CMP version 1.x エンティティ Bean を含んでいる EJB モジュールや J2EE アプリケーションの配備をサポートしません。したがって、Sun ONE Studio を使用して CMP Version 1.x エンティティ Bean を WebLogic サーバーに配備するには、Bean を CMP version 2.x にアップグレードする必要があります。アップグレード方法については、プログラミングシリーズの『Enterprise JavaBean コンポーネントのプログラミング』マニュアルの「付録 A」を参照してください。

Web サービス

「UDDI レジストリ」オプションのパスワード

このオプションは、オプションウィンドウの「分散アプリケーションサポート」カテゴリにあります。
このオプションの「レジストリ」プロパティに入力されたパスワードは、暗号化しないで格納されます。パスワードは NetBeans ユーザーのデータディレクトリにある java シリアライズファイルにテキストとして格納されます。この方法でパスワードを格納しない場合は、レジストリのプロパティエディタにパスワードを入力しないでください。パスワードを入力しなかった場合は、Web サービスを UDDI に発行するウィザードの実行時に UDDI ログインパスワードを入力する必要があります。
 

Early Access のユーザーは、新規 UDDI レジストリを使用する必要があります。

このリリースでは、UDDI 2 レジストリのみがサポートされています。したがって、Early Access リリースに使用した組み込みレジストリのリストは、UDDI 1 レジストリのみで動作するため使用できません。組み込みレジストリの新規リストを入手するには、「UDDI レジストリ」オプションの「レジストリ」プロパティを編集し、ウィンドウの一番上にある UDDI レジストリの表の行をすべて削除し、「了解」を押します。これで、「レジストリ」プロパティが再編集され、UDDI 2 レジストリのみレジストリのプロパティエディタのリストにリセットされます。

ビジネスメソッドの直接呼び出しのサポート

Web サービスでは、Java Bean と互換性のない Java クラスはサポートしません。たとえば、すべての Bean には必ず取得メソッド、設定メソッド、コンストラクタが必要です。

Web サービスでの kSoap の使用
  1. アップデートセンターを利用して、プラットフォームに適した kjava-emulator_linux.nbm (_sol.nbm または _win.nbm) と kjava.nbm を入手します。
  2. サービスを作成し、配備します。
  3. 生成されたクライアントの「SOAP 実行環境」プロパティを kSoap に設定します。
  4. クライアントプロキシを生成します。
  5. 実行タブで、クライアントプロキシのプロパティシートを以下のように設定します。
  6. クライアントプロキシを呼び出す MIDlet クラスを作成します。
  7. MIDlet クラスを実行します。
    MIDlet クラスがクライアントプロキシを呼び出すと、これによって Web サービスが呼び出され、応答が返されます。

MIDlet の詳細については、Sun ONE Studio 4 ME のマニュアルを参照してください。

Web サービスでの外部 J2SDK EE の使い方

以下の手順を完了し、リファレンス実装 (RI) のセキュリティの設定値を更新してください。

J2SDKEE 1.3 の場合

  1. J2EE インストールディレクトリの your_drive:\j2sdkee1.3\lib\security ディレクトリにある server.policy ファイルを開きます。
  2. 次の行、
    permission java.io.FilePermission "<<ALL FILES>>","read";
    を
    permission java.io.FilePermission "<<ALL FILES>>","read, write, delete";
    に更新します。
  3. RI を再起動します。

J2SDKEE 1.4 の場合

  1. J2EE インストールディレクトリの your_drive:\j2sdkee1.4\lib\security ディレクトリにある server.policy ファイルを開きます。

制約

BEA WebLogic

BEA WebLogic 6.1 SP2 および 7.0 アプリケーションサーバーは、J2SE SDK 1.3.1 または JRE 1.3.1 と Sun ONE Studio 4 の組み合わせでのみ動作確認されています。BEA WebLogic 6.1 サーバーを使用する場合は、必ず J2SE SDK 1.3.1 または JRE 1.3.1 を使用してください。IDE を J2SE SDK 1.4 または JRE 1.4 で実行しないでください。

現在、Weblogic プラグインは、6.1 SP2 と 7.0 の両方のサーバーをサポートしています。最新の Weblogic サポートプラットフォームは、次の URL から参照できます。

Sun ONE AS プラグインと Weblogic プラグインの使用にあたっては、制限事項があります。Sun ONE AS プラグインを使用するには、JDK 1.4.0_02 以上が必要であり (同プラグインは最新バージョンの JDK 1.4 API を使用しています)、Weblogic プラグインを使用するには Weblogic サーバーがサポートする JDK が必要です。

WebLogic プラグインを使用して複数のテーブルから CMP Bean を作成することはできません。ただし、WebLogic 7.0 にはこの機能が追加されています。

WebLogic 7.0 を使用する場合、Weblogic プラグインはデフォルトで、Weblogic 7.0 とともにインストールされている JDK 1.3.1_03 を使用します。JDK 1.3.1_04 以上を使用すると、配備したアーカイブの読み込み時にサーバーエラーが発生します。

「実行時」タブの Weblogic サーバーレジストリノードのプロパティ「JDK ホーム」から WebLogic サーバーで使用する JDK を指定できます。

Sun ONE Studio X-Designer

ヘルプブラウザを XD/Help に設定してヘルプを表示しようとすると、別の X-Designer メインウィンドウが表示され、X-Designer ヘルプは表示されません。

ヘルプは、Netscape ブラウザなどでも表示できますが、X-Designer ヘルプ用ブラウザで表示する場合は、システム管理者が <INSTALL-DIR>/platform/sparc-SunOS/prod/bin で xdhelp のシンボリックリンクを実際のリンクに置き換えることで対処できます。

以下のようにコマンドを実行します。
# rm xdhelp
# ln xdesigner xdhelp

国際化の制限事項

Sun Linux 5.0 には、各ロケール固有の、または各言語のコンポーネントは含まれていません。そのため、マルチバイトを使用するロケールなどでは、GUI でフォントを表示したりロケール固有の文字を入力したりすることはできません。つまり、Sun Linux 5.0 では、日本語環境がサポートされていないため、Sun ONE Studio 4 は英語環境でのみ動作します。

インストール

インストールディレクトリ名に空白文字を使用できるのは、Windows プラットフォームだけです。

J2EE Web 層開発

JAX パーサーの衝突
Web モジュールを Tomcat 4.0.1 上で実行しようとすると、特定の JAX パーサーの JAR ファイルが、Java 2 SDK v. 1.4 と一緒に配布される crimson.jar と衝突する可能性があります。衝突の生じた Web モジュールを Tomcat 上で実行しようとすると、通常この衝突により、例外が発生します。例外の原因は、ClassCastException、または org.apache.crimson.jaxp パッケージ内で違反したローダーの制約によるものです。詳細については、JSP/サーブレットモジュールのオンラインヘルプの「JAX パーサーの衝突の修正」を参照してください。

衝突の回避策としては、次の 2 つのアプローチがあります。

システム要件

次の表は、サポートされる各プラットフォームに最小限の設定をインストールするために必要なシステム要件を示しています。最初の列には要件の種類、すなわちハードウェアシステム、メモリー、およびインストールに必要なディスク空き容量を表示しています。右側の列には、プラットフォームごと、すなわち Solaris 8 オペレーティング環境、Microsoft Windows の各種プラットフォーム、および Linux について、それぞれシステム要件を表示しています。

 

 

オペレーティングシステム、ORB、データベース、バージョン管理システム

プラットフォームに関係なく、推奨する Netscape のバージョンは 6.2 です。

次の表に、このリリースでサポートされるオペレーティングシステム、ORB、データベース、バージョン管理システムを示します。

 

サポートされるプラットフォーム

Sun ONE Studio 4 の CE および EE は、以下のプラットフォームで動作を確認しています。

J2EE リファレンス実装 1.3 サーバーは、Sun ONE Studio 4 インストールプログラムと同じパッケージに入っています。

BEA WebLogic 6.1 SP2 および　7.0 アプリケーション - J2EE 1.3 Plus J2EE 1.3 の機能は、Solaris 8 オペレーティング環境、SPARC 版と Windows 2000 プラットフォームでテストされました。

Sun ONE Studio 4 update 1, WebLogic サーバー配備モジュールは、Sun ONE Studio アップデートセンターから NBM ファイルとして入手できます。

注：Sun ONE Studio 4 には、J2SE SDK バージョン 1.4.0_02 または 1.3.1_01 以降のバージョンが必要です。詳細はこのリリースノートの冒頭部分を参照してください。

モジュールに関する注意事項

一般的な考慮事項

Solaris オペレーティング環境での Sun ONE Studio 4 の一部の構成では、Netscape が IDE によって自動的に起動されません。この場合は、Netscape を手動で起動すると、Netscape を IDE で正しく使用できるようになります。

JDK 1.4.0_02 および 1.4.1rc リリースのバグのため、多数のエラーメッセージが IDE コンソールに表示されることがあります。この問題を回避するには、JDK version 1.4.0 の使用を検討してください。

デバッガ

JPDA デバッガ を Windows で使用する場合は、デフォルトで 2 つの Java 仮想マシン間の接続にソケットを使用します。この場合、ファイアウォールやインターネットプロバイダに接続を試みる可能性があります。この問題が生じた場合は、以下のコマンドで共有メモリー接続を使用して Sun ONE Studio 4 の IDE を起動してください。

J2EE RI Web サーバーおよび HTTP モニター

J2EE RI Web サーバーの HTTP モニターを使用可能にする手順は次のとおりです。

  1. conf/web.xml で HTTPMonitorFilter のフィルタ設定のコメントを解除します。
  2. RI サーバーを再起動します。

FFJ タグの JSTL 標準 taglib への変更

Sun ONE Studio 4.0 では、従来の独自のカスタムタグセットが JSP の標準タグライブラリ (JSP Standard Tag Library: JSTL) に置き換えられました。

この項では、従来のタグセットと標準タグライブラリとの対応について説明します。JSTL は、タグライブラリレポジトリから取得できる .jar ファイルに次のとおりに含まれています。standard.jar には JSTL 本体、js.jar には式言語インタープリタ、jstl.jar にはカスタムタグの組み込みに必要な補助インタフェース、jaxen-full.jar と saxpath.jar には XML タグ、とくに XPath 機能に必要な API が入っています。

1. JAR ファイル

FFJ の独自のタグは ietags.jar、dbtags.jar、tptags.jar の 3 つの jar ファイルで構成され、それぞれ、プレゼンテーションタグ、データベースアクセスタグ、透過的持続性タグが含まれていました。

JSTL では、複数の tld (タグライブラリ記述子) ファイルを 1 つの jar ファイルに格納する JSP 1.2 の機能を使用します。各 jar ファイルから複数の tld セットが提供されます。これらには反復タグや条件タグの入った core、データベースアクセスタグを格納する sql、フォーマット用タグを含む fmt、また xslt タグを含む xml などがあります。透過的持続性に相当するものはありません。

2. 式言語の値と実行時の式の値

FFJ の独自のタグでは、属性値に動的データを格納するための唯一の方法は、実行時の式 (スクリプトレット式) の値 (rtexpr 値) を使用することでした。

JSTL では rtexpr が使用可能で、javascript や spel などの他の式言語もサポートされています。式言語によって、スクリプトレット式を使用することなく、Java のデータ構造やメソッド呼び出しなどに非常に簡単にアクセスできます。たとえば、次のような照会の行のフィールドにアクセスできます。

3. taglib 宣言

JSTL から tld を使用するには、使用する各 tld について taglib 宣言が必要です。宣言には、式の属性値 (rt) を使用する方法と、式言語の属性値を使用する方法があり、それぞれに推奨される接頭辞があります。必要な taglib 宣言を以下に示します。

ユーザー補助機能 - HTML ドキュメントのスタイルシートの変更

以下は、スタイルシートの変更方法に関するオンラインヘルプの補足情報です。

ほとんどのヘルプセットは、 modules/docs/locale/usersguide_ja.jar に格納されているスタイルシートを使用しています。このため、このスタイルシートを変更すると、大部分のヘルプセットの表示にも変更が反映されます。例外は以下のとおりです。

オンラインヘルプのスタイルシートを変更する手順は以下のとおりです。

1. IDE インストールディレクトリで、modules/docs/locale に移動します。

2. jar コマンド行ユーティリティを使用して、JAR ファイルをアンパックします。

Solaris オペレーティング環境

Solaris オペレーティング環境では、ウィンドウのスタイル・マネージャを使用してウィンドウの動作を設定できます。IDE でニーモニックを使用している場合は、ウィンドウの動作は「クリックでウィンドウをアクティブに」に設定する必要があります。
このオプションを設定しないと、ニーモニックが表示されない場合があります。

機能の削除

Sun ONE Studio 4 リリースでは、以前の Sun ONE Studio 4 (旧 Forte for Java) のバージョンで利用できた 3 つの機能が削除されました。これらの機能は、Forte Code Management Software、透過的持続性、および Forte ESP です。

設定ウィザードでブラウザを選択する

設定ウィザードでは、ドキュメントや、Sun ONE Studio Developer Web Resources などの外部 Web サイトを閲覧するために使用する HTML ブラウザの種類を選択できます。Netscape や Internet Explorer などのブラウザがすでにインストールされている場合には、「Swing HTML ブラウザ」ではなく、「外部ブラウザ」を選択してください。Swing HTML ブラウザは、ドキュメントの閲覧用としてのみ設計されており、ほとんどの Web サイトを正常に表示できません。

アップデートセンター

アップデートセンター機能を使用すると、IDE を動的に更新できます。アップデートセンターに接続すると、IDE は新しいモジュールの有無と、すでにインストール済みのモジュールについて新しいバージョンの有無を調べます。新しいモジュールやアップデート版のモジュールが見つかった場合、必要なモジュールを自分で選択できます。選択すると、それらのモジュールがダウンロードされ、ユーザーの IDE にインストールされます。

注: Sun ONE Studio モジュールは、Sun ONE Studio アップデートセンターのフォルダから入手できます。

「アップデートセンターウィザード」では、アップデートセンターからモジュールをインストールしたり、システムにダウンロード済みのモジュール (.nbm ファイル) をインストールしたりできます。いずれの場合もインストールするモジュールは .nbm 形式です。

Sun ONE Studio アップデートセンターへの接続を選択した場合には、アップデートセンターへのログイン名とパスワードを入力する必要があります。アップデートセンターへのログイン名とパスワードを持っていない場合は、ウィザードで「アカウント保守」ボタンをクリックし、表示される指示に従って操作し、登録します。

Kibaale Children's Centre (KCC) is located in Kibaale, a small town in the south of Uganda, near Tanzania, in East Africa. The area is known as Rakai District. The population is mostly farmers. Although people are poor, there is enough food. But this district is suffering from AIDS more than any other part of the world. Some say that it started there. Estimations are that 10 to 30% of the Ugandans are infected with HIV. Because parents die, there are many orphans. In this district about 60.000 children have lost one or both parents, out of a population of 350.000. And this is still continuing.

The children need a lot of help. The KCC is working hard to provide the needy with food, medical care and education. Food and medical care to keep them healthy now, and education so that they can take care of themselves in the future. KCC works on a Christian base, but help is given to children of any religion.

The key to solving the problems in this area is education. This has been neglected in the past years with president Idi Amin and the following civil wars. Now that the government is stable again, the children and parents have to learn how to take care of themselves and how to avoid infections. There is also help for people who are ill and hungry, but the primary goal is to prevent people from getting ill and to teach them how to grow healthy food. Most of the orphans are living in an extended family. An uncle or older sister is taking care of them. Because these families are big and the income (if any) is low, a child is lucky if it gets healthy food. Clothes, medical care and schooling is beyond its reach. To help these needy children, a sponsorship program was put into place. A child can be financially adopted. For a few dollars a month KCC sees to it that the child gets indispensable items, is healthy, goes to school and KCC takes care of anything else that needs to be done for the child and the family that supports it. Besides helping the child directly, the environment where the child grows up needs to be improved. KCC helps schools to improve their teaching methods. There is a demonstration school at the centre and teacher trainings are given. Health workers are being trained, hygiene education is carried out and households are stimulated to build a proper latrine. I helped setting up a production site for cement slabs. These are used to build a good latrine. They are sold below cost price.

There is a small clinic at the project, which provides children and their family with medical help. When needed, transport to a hospital is offered. Immunization programs are carried out and help is provided when an epidemic is breaking out (measles and cholera have been a problem). Summer 1994 to summer 1995 I spent a whole year at the centre, working as a volunteer. I have helped to expand the centre and worked in the area of water ,and sanitation. I learned that the help that the KCC provides really helps. Now that I'm back in Holland, I would like to continue supporting KCC. To do this I'm raising funds and organizing the sponsorship program. Please consider one of these possibilities:

1. Sponsor a child: $15 a month. (Holland: fl 27,50)

2. Sponsor a child and the improvement of its environment: $25 a month (Holland: fl 45)

3. Sponsor the health team: Any amount a month or quarter

4. A one-time donation

Compared with other organizations that do child sponsorship the amounts are very low. This is because the money goes directly to the centre. Less than 5% is used for administration. This is possible because this is a small organization that works with volunteers. If you would like to sponsor a child, you should have the intention to do this for at least one year.

How do you know that the money will be spent right? First of all you have my personal guarantee as the author of Vim. I trust the people that are working at the centre, I know them personally. Further more, the centre is co-sponsored and inspected by World Vision, Save the Children Fund and International Child Care Fund.
