To Manually Uninstall the Linux OS Monitoring Feature

After successful completion of this procedure, the OS monitoring feature is unsupported for the managed server:

Steps

1. Log in to the managed server as root.

2. Type the following command:

   # /etc/rc.d/rc3.d/S99es_agent stop

3. Issue the following command and follow the prompts.

   # /opt/SUNWsymon/sbin/es-uninst

   The agent is uninstalled.

4. Manually remove the feature.

   # rpm -e n1sm-linux-agent

   The feature is removed.

5. Remove directories related to the feature.

   # rm -rf /var/opt/SUNWsymon

   The directories are removed.
