HSQL, MYSQL, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle 10g.

What is the recommended JDK version for installing Project WebSynergy?

It should be JDK 1.6.0_07 and above. Also make sure that ant 1.7.0 is installed on the machine on which you are installing Project WebSynergy.

What will I do if the Compose link is not working in Mail portlet?

Click the compose window twice to go to the compose window.

Is there any restriction on image size for changing the logo?

You need to choose a very small image. The image for logo is expected to occupy only the header, but a big logo image can occupy the entire page and many links may not work.

What will I do if Facebook, twitter, plaxo and linkedin portlet shows error?

Make sure that your machine is connected to internet or the browser has proxy configured to reach internet.

What is WOL?

WOL stands for World of Liferay. It contains a set of portlets which help in creating your own social networking portlets such as Orkut.

What will I do if my machine is becoming very slow while running Project WebSynergy?

Make sure that no other heavy applications such as, netbeans or application server are running.

What is BSOJ?

BSOJ stands for big screen of junk. It happens whenever there is an error or exception while doing some actions on the UI.

What is the recommended memory size to use Project WebSynergy for testing purpose?

2GB is recommended.

Which browser is best suited for testing Project WebSynergy?

Firefox 2.x and Firefox 3.x are the most recommended browsers. You may face some UI issues with Internet Explorer.
