5 Setting Up Embedded LDAP Replication

If you have configured a clustered or basic HA domain, you must set up the embedded LDAP server to propagate the Web application organization and user information to all servers. If you do not set replication up, user provisioning will not work correctly.

To set up embedded LDAP replication in the Administration console:

  1. Click the domain_name at the top of the Domain Structure panel.

The Settings for domain_name panel appears.

  2. Click the Security tab.

  3. Click the Embedded LDAP tab in the second row of tabs.

  4. Configure the embedded LDAP server by filling in the fields. They are described in the panel and in "Domain: Security: Embedded LDAP" in Oracle Fusion Middleware Oracle WebLogic Server Administration Console Online Help at:

    http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12839_01/apirefs.1111/e13952/pagehelp/Securitysecuritydomaindomainconfigembeddedldaptitle.html

  5. Click Save.

  6. Make sure the Messages at the top of the screen are green and indicate success.

  7. Restart the cluster.

For general information, see "Managing the Embedded LDAP Server" in Oracle Fusion Middleware Securing Oracle WebLogic Server at:
