Editing Considerations

Please note the following considerations when editing an element:

Changes made to a field element in a document will be applied to all the occurrences of that field.
Field, trigger and graphic elements in a document are independent of their corresponding field resources. Therefore, changes made to these elements do not affect any resources.
You cannot edit elements within sections or paragraphs that have the Replace section... or Replace paragraph... option selected.
When editing an element in a document, you can cut, copy, and paste an element just as you do with regular Word content.

If you rename an element that was inserted based on a resource in the workspace definition file, a local resource with this new name is created. You can edit the local resource, but not the resource in the workspace definition file.
