You can access the command-line interface (CLI) remotely using SSH or locally using the serial console port and the multiport cable.
Before You Begin
This procedure assumes that you are set up to access the server using the command-line interface (CLI). For CLI connection procedures, refer to Communicating With Oracle ILOM and the System Console in Sun Server X2-8 (formerly Sun Fire X4800 M2) Installation Guide.
For commands and general information about the Oracle ILOM CLI, refer to Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM) 3.0 Daily Management CLI Procedures Guide, which is accessible online with the Sun Server X2-8 documentation.
The CLI prompt appears.
