How to Remove the SP Module

Before You Begin

• Sun Server X2-8 Subassembly Module Overview

• Service Processor (SP) Module Overview

1. If necessary, prepare the server for service. See How to Prepare for Service.
2. Access the rear of the server.
3. If necessary, remove the multiport cable and any other cables connected to the SP module. See How to Remove the Multiport Cable.
4. To unlock the SP module, squeeze the green tab (1) and rotate the handle to the right (2).
   
5. To remove the SP module, use the handle to pull it out of the slot (3).
