Please note the following conditions before installing ESX 4.1:
If you are going to install your OS on a disk that is part of a RAID array, you must configure the RAID array before installing your OS.
Refer to your disk management documentation for details.
Systems running ESX/ESXi 4.1 and ESXi 5 support limited numbers of NIC ports. Adding more than the recommended number of ports can cause your system to hang.

Systems running ESX/ESXi 4.1 support a maximum of 1Tb of memory. Systems running ESXi 5 support a maximum of 2Tb of memory.
