This graphic illustrates the process that the system performs when an Invoke a Browser Script action type is triggered. The graphic illustrates the following steps:

  1. The Oracle BI EE user initiates the action.

  2. Step one triggers Oracle BI EE Presentation Services to retrieve the action definition and mapped parameters.

  3. Oracle BI EE Presentation Services then passes the action definition and mapped parameters back to the Oracle BI EE user. If necessary, the user provides additional parameter values and invokes the action.

  4. The browser runs the JavaScript function referenced by the action definition and returns the results to the user.
