Retrieves the CGI parameter that the Web server security filter passes to the system so that the system can set the user.
If this variable is not set, the value of the REMOTE_USER variable is used.
If HTTP_INTERNETUSER and REMOTE_USER are not set, the user is anonymous.
Type and Usage
Output
Returns the user name as a string.
Example
As information output on a page or to a log:
HTTP_INTERNETUSER=admin
As part of an Idoc Script statement or evaluation:
