Asset State Specification

State Summary

Assets managed in Oracle Enterprise Repository exist in one of five different states:

Active
- When an asset submission is approved or a new asset is created, the asset is in the Active state. Any action can be performed on an Active asset.
- SQL Criteria: where ACTIVESTATUS = 0
Inactive
- Inactive assets still appear in most section of Oracle Enterprise Repository , but cannot be used - downloaded. The Inactive state should be viewed as temporary; Typically, inactive assets are eventually returned to an Active state.
- SQL Criteria: where ACTIVESTATUS = 10
Retired
- Retired assets are no longer used, but remain available for archival purposes.
- SQL Criteria: where ACTIVESTATUS = 20
Deleted
- Deleted assets do not appear anywhere in Oracle Enterprise Repository . (They are still in the database, and will prevent the deletion of asset types unless purged with help from BEA Support.)
- SQL Criteria: where ACTIVESTATUS = 30
Incomplete
- Incomplete asset submissions are completely eliminated and do not appear anywhere in Oracle Enterprise Repository .
- SQL Criteria: where ACTIVESTATUS = 40
