Overview

The SMTP Routing filter can be used to relay messages to an email recipient using a specified SMTP server.

Settings

Select a previously configured global SMTP server from the Server Name field or click the Add button to add details of a new SMTP server. Complete the following details on the SMTP Server Settings dialog:

Name:
Specify a descriptive name for this SMTP Server in this field.

Hostname:
Enter the hostname or IP address of the SMTP server.

Port:
Enter the SMTP port on the server specified in the field above. By default, SMTP servers run on port 25.

User Name:
Enter the user name of a registered user that can access the SMTP server.

Password:
Enter the password for this user.

Message Settings

Complete the following fields in the Message Settings section of the screen:

To:
Enter the email address of the recipient of the messages.

From:
Enter the email address that you would like to appear in the "From" field of the email messages.

Subject:
Enter some text as the "Subject" of the email messages.
