util_get_long_from_file

The util_get_long_from_file function is used to get a single line from a specified file and return it in the form of a long number. This function enables you to store single long numbers in a file.

Syntax

long util_get_long_from_file(char *filename);

Returns

• A long integer from the file.

• -1 if no value was obtained from the file.

Parameters

char *file is the name of the file to be read.
