Download, Installation, and Configuration ReadMe

11g Release 2 (11.1.2.2)

September 2018

This document contains important information to help you get started downloading, installing, and configuring your Oracle Identity and Access Management 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.2) software.

Note:

For information about downloading previously released versions of Oracle Identity and Access Management 11g Release 2 (11.1.2), refer to My Oracle Support document ID 1071023.

For information about downloading other Oracle Fusion Middleware products, see Oracle Fusion Middleware Download, Installation, and Configuration Readme Files.

This document contains the following sections:

1 Task 1: Review and Make Note of Your Operating System Capabilities (32-bit or 64-bit)

Before you download any Oracle Fusion Middleware software, review your existing environment and determine your specific operating system versions, including whether you are using 32-bit or 64-bit systems.

Many Oracle products provide specific 32-bit and 64-bit downloads. As a result, it is important to make note of your specific operating system requirements before starting any downloads.

2 Task 2: Review the Certification and System Requirements

Review the following documents to be sure that the Oracle Fusion Middleware software you want to download is supported on your existing software and hardware.

Note:

When checking the certification information for each of the products you want to install, be sure to check specifically for any 32-bit or 64-bit system requirements. In some cases, it is important for you to download software specifically designed for the 32-bit or 64-bit environment, explicitly.

  • To ensure that Oracle Fusion Middleware is certified with your hardware and software platforms, refer to Oracle Fusion Middleware Supported System Configurations on the Oracle Technology Network (OTN):

    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/fusion-certification-100350.html

The various certification documents contain information related to supported 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems, databases, web servers, LDAP servers, adapters, IPv6, JDKs, and third-party products.

The certification document for 11g Release 2 (11.1.2) is called System Requirements and Supported Platforms for Oracle Identity and Access Management 11g Release 2 (11.1.2.x) Certification Matrix.

  • To ensure you have enough physical memory, disk space, and other computing resources, review the System Requirements and Specifications document on OTN:

    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/middleware/ias/downloads/fusion-requirements-100147.html
