delete-instance

Syntax

tadm delete-instance common_options [--save-logs] [--force] 

--config=config_name (node_host)+

Description

Use this command to delete instances of the specified configuration and nodes. If a specific instance is participating in failover groups, you cannot delete it.

Note:

When you delete instances of a node that is service-enabled, then the corresponding services for those instances are also deleted.

Options

For information about common_options, run the help command.

--save-logs|-S

Specify this option to save the logs while deleting an instance.

--force|-f

Specify this option to enable a forced deletion of an instance. You can delete a instance which is participating in a failover group.

--config|-c

Specify the name of the configuration that the instance points to.

Operands

node-host

Specify the name of the node.

Example

tadm delete-instance --user=admin --password-file=./admin.passwd
--host=admin.example.com --port=8989 --no-prompt 
--config=www.example.org serverhost

Exit Codes

The following exit values are returned:

0: command executed successfully

>0: error in executing the command
