Description of the illustration sbpms

This figure shows the various components that the Policy Controller interacts with. Within Service Broker the Policy Controller interacts with the Subscriber Store and PCRF Statistics. Policy Controller also interacts with an external AF (application function) P-CSCF, a BBERG (Bearer Binding and Event Reporting Function) inside an IP-CAN Gateway, a PCEF (Policy and Charging Enforcement Function) inside a PDN Gateway, which is also connected to a Diameter Charging Server (BRM or another online charging server). The connection between the PCRF and PCEF is over Gx, and the connection between the AF and the PCRF is over the Rx protocol.
