public interface StreamSink

extends java.util.EventListener

Interface to be implemented by beans that want to receive events modeling a OCEP stream. A OCEP stream are append-only, that is, events are always appended to the end of the stream. OCEP streams are unbounded, and hence generally need a window to be defined before it can be processed. Events received from a OCEP stream have non-decreasing time-stamps.

public void onInsertEvent(java.lang.Object event)
                   throws EventRejectedException

Call-back method for receiving events of type insert. Events of type insert are used to model streams, as streams are append-only.

Parameters:

event - Object

Throws:

EventRejectedException - - user may raise this exception to notify framework that event is rejected.
