Search for a Policy

The policy search feature allows a user to navigate through the policies in OIPA. Searches can be performed for policies by one field or a combination of fields on the Search screen. If a policy name was assigned during creation, then the Policy Name field can be used to quickly locate the policy.

The policy search results do not show policies that are shadowed (deleted). The only way to view these policies is through the database.

Steps to Search for a Policy

From the Main menu, select Policy | Search.
Enter the search criteria for the policy. If the exact wording is not known, use the % (percent) sign as a wild card. The search results will display under the Policy Search window.
Scroll through the search results to locate the policy, then click the row of the appropriate policy. The policy will open. The policy number will display just below the Policy Main menu.

If the search results contain more than ten results, then only the first ten results will display. Adjust the Maximum Results drop down box in the bottom right corner of the screen to display the additional search results.
