Accessing Third-Party Notice and License Information

This section describes how to access third-party license information from an installed system or from the package repository.

How to Access Third-Party Notice and License Information From an Installed System Using the Package Manager GUI

  1. Log in to an Oracle Solaris 11 system.
  2. Start the Package Manager by choosing System ->Administration->Package Manager from the menu bar.
  3. Select the package name from the list of available packages.
  4. Click the Notices tab to view the third-party notice and license information for that package.

How to Access Third-Party Notice and License Information From the Package Repository

  1. In a web browser, access the package repository at http://pkg.oracle.com/solaris/release/en/catalog.shtml.

    The Package Repository lists the packages for the current release.

  2. (Optional) To view packages for a previous release, select the release from the Release and Branch drop-down menu.
  3. Click a package name in the Name column to view the third-party notice and license information for that package.
