public enum VariableType

extends java.lang.Enum<VariableType>

Type safe enum that allow to define type of a variable in ODI. Can be one of the following:

• SHORT_TEXT
• LONG_TEXT
• NUMERIC
• DATE

Enum Constant Summary

DATE
For date value.

LONG_TEXT
For string value if length is > 250 char.

NUMERIC
For numeric value.

SHORT_TEXT
For text if length is <= 250 char.

Method Summary

static VariableType	valueOf(java.lang.String name) Returns the enum constant of this type with the specified name.
static VariableType[]	values() Returns an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared.

Enum Constant Detail

SHORT_TEXT

public static final VariableType SHORT_TEXT

For text if length is <= 250 char. Stands for the Java type String

LONG_TEXT

public static final VariableType LONG_TEXT

For string value if length is > 250 char. Stands for the Java type String

NUMERIC

public static final VariableType NUMERIC

For numeric value. Stands for the Java type Long

DATE

public static final VariableType DATE

For date value. Stands for the Java type Date

Method Detail

values

public static VariableType[] values()

Returns an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared. This method may be used to iterate over the constants as follows:

for (VariableType c : VariableType.values())
    System.out.println(c);

Returns:

an array containing the constants of this enum type, in the order they are declared

valueOf

public static VariableType valueOf(java.lang.String name)

Returns the enum constant of this type with the specified name. The string must match exactly an identifier used to declare an enum constant in this type. (Extraneous whitespace characters are not permitted.)

Parameters:

name - the name of the enum constant to be returned.

Returns:

the enum constant with the specified name

Throws:

java.lang.IllegalArgumentException - if this enum type has no constant with the specified name

java.lang.NullPointerException - if the argument is null
