This figure shows an Oracle Fusion Middleware application that demonstrates some common interactions between Web services and their clients. At the top of the figure, a Web service client accesses a WebLogic Web service. WebLogic Web service policies are in use in this scenario. In the middle scenario, a Web service client access a WebLogic Web service. In this case, Oracle WSM policies are in use as the WebLogic Web service connects to the SOA composite application located in the center of the figure. In the bottom scenario, an ADF application access a SOA composite application. The SOA application acts as a client to access the following: WebLogic Web service, ADF business component, WebCenter service, and an external Web service. How security is managed at each step in the process is explained following the figure.
