Before you begin
You can customize the set of log entries that are displayed by setting one or more of the following:
If you select Custom, specify a start time
or end time, or both, using a date and 24-hour time format expressed
as dd/mm/yy hh:mm:ss
. For example, 04/23/10
17:30:00
.
The filter expression is specified as a string in the WLDF Query Language. The query language supports the Boolean operators AND, OR, and NOT, and also supports relational operators. Each of the different log types has a different set of column names that can be used in the WLDF Query Expression. For example, the server log and domain log have the SEVERITY and MSGID columns, but the events log and metrics log do not. For information about the valid column names that can be used in the filter expression for each log type, and examples, see Data Store Column Names in Configuring and Using the WebLogic Diagnostic Framework.
Note: The Administration Console saves your log filter expression. The next time you access this subsystem's log page, the Administration Console uses the expression to filter messages. You can click Customize this table to change or remove the filter.
After you finish
Click Apply to apply the customizations, or Reset to clear any that you have entered.
The Administration Console constructs a query that returns the log-message data you request. The query searches in the current log file only. If the log file has been rotated, the query does not search through old messages that have been moved to another file.
