This preface provides an overview of the contents of the PeopleTools 8.51 PeopleBook: Global Technology.

PeopleTools Global Technology

This PeopleBook discusses features of Oracle's PeopleTools that are critical to a global implementation of Oracle's PeopleSoft applications. The book is divided into four parts:

• Part 1: Getting Started.

  This part provides an overview of the setup and maintenance tasks that you may need to perform to implement PeopleSoft applications for a multilanguage, multinational environment.

  This part discusses some of the technological considerations to take into account if you are implementing in multiple countries (even if you only use English language data).

  This part discusses tasks to perform if you are using the non-English translations delivered by the PeopleSoft system and processing application data in multiple languages.
