Select the server to monitor

Before you begin

See Work with the Metric Browser.


The Metric Browser displays metrics available for a single server at a time. The Servers drop-down list displays all running servers in the domain.

Note: The running servers in a domain can change over time. The list of running servers is retrieved each time you select the Metric Browser tab. If a server that you believe is running is not listed, select the View List tab, then re-select the Metric Browser tab.

To select a different server to monitor:

  1. Select the Metric Browser tab.
  2. Select the server from the Server drop-down list.
  3. Click Go.

    The Types, Instances, and Metrics list boxes are populated with information about run-time MBeans with metrics that can be displayed in charts.

  4. To refresh the list of MBeans from which data has been sampled, click Go again.
