What's New in This Guide for Release 11.1.3

This chapter provides information about what is new in the Oracle Fusion Applications Developer's Guide 11g Release 1 (11.1.3) since Release 1 (11.1.2) was released in September 2011.

Documentation Changes for Release 11.1.3

For Release 11.1.3, this guide has been updated in several ways. The following table lists the sections that have been added or changed.

Chapter 3, "Setting Up Your JDeveloper Workspace and Projects"

 

Section 3.8, "Overriding the Default Resource Bundle"

Section added to provide Oracle Fusion Applications-specific information for overriding a resource bundle.

Chapter 6, "Defining Defaulting and Derivation Logic"

 

Section 6.3, "Using Oracle ADF Validators and Convertor Hints"

Section revised to include information about how to override an Oracle ADF validator or converter message with new text.

Chapter 11, "Setting Up Document Sequences"

Section has been added to describe how document sequences can optionally be given a determinant type when defined.

Added section describing how to add security to child pages so a user cannot use the Recent Items or Favorites features to bypass the security of the parent page.

  • UI support to support SES alternate word feature

  • Order by and Universal Facet on LastModifiedDate

  • Hide facet values with zero hit count

Section added describing how ECSF now checks for stored attribute conflicts when defining a search.

Section 28.2.6.1, "Making View Object Attributes Searchable"

Section revised with expanded information of Crawl Date Column in Table 27-1 Searchable Attribute Properties to explain that ECSF will pick the most recent Crawl Date column value to use as the LastModifiedDate value.

Chapter 64, "Oracle Enterprise Scheduler Security"

New chapter explains how Oracle Enterprise Scheduler Security features provide access control for Oracle Enterprise Scheduler resources and application identity propagation for job execution.
