You can purge quotes that are old, were placed as an order, and are inactive. In addition, you can delete active quotes, if required. The purge process has two steps: identify the quotes to purge and then, delete the quote and related entities. The performance of active quotes is enhanced and the space used by purged quotes becomes available for reuse. Only users with the Purge Quote security function assigned to their logged in responsibility can remove quotes.
To delete quotes you must execute the Purge Quote concurrent program.
Prerequisites
User has the security function responsibility to purge quotes.
Steps
From the Submit Request window, search for the Purge Quote concurrent program.
Set the value of the Review Candidate Quotes to be Purged parameter as Yes. Specify values for all the other parameters.
Click Submit.
The quotes that are ready to be purged are available in the ASO_PURGE_QUOTES table.
If required, archive the purged quotes.
Resubmit the Purge Quote concurrent program with the value of the Review Candidate Quotes to be Purged parameter as No.
Parameter Description
Review Candidate Quotes to be Purged
If the value is Yes, this parameter lets you review the quotes to be removed. If the value is No, the quotes that are referenced in the ASO_PURGE_QUOTES table are purged and the remaining parameters are ignored.
Operating Unit
Include quotes for the operating unit specified in this parameter. If it is blank, it will include all operating units that the user has access to.
Number of days after Quote Expiration date
Specify the number of days as n. Current Date - Quote Expiration Date >= n.
Number of days after the Last Update Date
Specify the number of days as n. Current Date - Quote Last Update Date>= n.
iStore Carts
If the value is Yes, this parameter includes Oracle iStore shopping carts in the purge process.
If the value is No, this parameter excludes Oracle iStore shopping carts from the purge process.
