To perform a simple installation, first, prepare the system for the installation, including checking system requirements, adding necessary device drivers, and setting up desired partitioning. For more information, see Chapter 2, Preparing for the Installation, in Installing Oracle Solaris 11.1 Systems.
When you are ready to perform the installation, you can use either the GUI installer or the text installer. Both installers are both simple, interactive, preset installation tools.
