This figure describes the position of the Record Editor within the Offline Mediation Controller architecture.

1. The Network sends data to the collection cartridges (CCs) in the Offline Mediation Controller.

2. The CCs send data for processing to the enhancement processor (EP) and aggregation processor (AP) cartridges.

3. An EP cartridge sends the data to a distribution cartridge, which sends the data to one of the following:

the billing system
as a NAR to the record editor. The record editor sends the data back to an EP cartridge.
