Change the XML registry associated with WebLogic Server

Before you begin

You must create an XML registry before you can target it. See Create an XML registry.

A WebLogic Server can have only one XML registry associated with it, although an XML Registry can be targeted to more than one WebLogic Server. When you create an XML registry, you have the option of associating it with one or more WebLogic Servers; this procedure describes how change the XML registry currently associated to a particular WebLogic Server.

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane, click Environment > Servers.
  3. In the Servers table, click on the name of the WebLogic Server whose associated XML Registry you want to change.
  4. Select the Configuration > Services tab.
  5. In the section called XML Services Configuration, towards the end of the page, select the XML registry you want to associate with this server by selecting its name in the XML Registry drop-down list.
  6. Click Save.
  7. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
