This is a text description of Figure 2-3, "Oriented Marker". It illustrates a marker being oriented around an oriented point, as explained in text before the illustration. The illustration consists of three parts:

In the first part, the label "Original marker style" is associated with a marker (a box with an arrow inside) lying flat (that is, horizontal, or parallel to the x-axis).

In the second part, the label "Oriented point" is associated with a point at (12,14, 0.3,0.2). The orientation vector, shown as a dashed line with a directional arrowhead at the end, extends from this point at an angle of approximately 34 degrees.

In the third part, the label "Marker style applied to the oriented point" is associated with the original marker style rotated approximately 34 degrees, reflecting the orientation vector.
