Password Administration : Reset the STA GUI Login Password

Reset the STA GUI Login Password

The STA GUI Login password must be changed through the WebLogic configuration console by the WebLogic Administration user.

Note – The STA GUI Login password is NOT changed in the MySQL database; GUI usernames are defined and managed only at the WebLogic/server level.

Note – In the following procedure, the example STA GUI Login username is "sta_user".

1.
Point your browser to the WebLogic console login screen.

http://yourHostName:7001/console/

or

https://yourHostName:7002/console/

Note – Use the HTTP or HTTPS port number you selected during STA installation.

2.
Log in using the WebLogic Admin Console username and password you defined during STA installation.
3.
Navigate to the Security Realms work area, then click the myrealm link in the Realms table.

4.
Click on the Users and Groups tab, and then click the STA GUI Login username (in this example, sta_user).

5.
Click the Passwords tab.

6.
Enter a new password, confirm it, and then click the Save button at the bottom of the panel.

7.
Check if the Messages window displays “Settings updated successfully.”

8.
Log out of the WebLogic Administration Console.
9.
Verify that the new password is operational by logging into the STA application GUI.
