Clone file systems

The WebLogic file T3 service lets you provide high-speed, client-side access to native operating system files on the server.

To clone a file system:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane, expand Services and select File T3.

A table listing the file T3 services that have been created appears.

  3. Select the checkbox next to the file T3 service that you want to clone.
  4. Click Clone.

A dialog displays asking for the name of your new file resource.

  5. Enter the name of your file system in the Name field.
  6. Click OK.

The new instance is added in the File (T3) Services table.

  7. In the File (T3) Services table, click the Name of the file system to which you want to assign a system path name.
  8. Enter or modify the value in the Path attribute field.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Use the Targets page to select servers or clusters on which to deploy your file services. See Target file T3 services.
  11. Use the Notes page to enter notes related to the file service.
  12. Click Save.
  13. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).

After you finish

Restart the Administration Server so that your changes can take effect.
