Deleting a store-and-forward
(SAF) agent permanently removes it from the domain's configuration.
To delete a store-and-forward agent:
If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
In the left pane of
the console, expand Services > Messaging and
select Store-and-Forward Agents.
On the
Store-and-Forward Agents page, select the agent
that you want to delete.
Click
Delete and confirm the deletion.
To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes. Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
Result
Pending messages are stored in the associated persistent store and
can not be forwarded until the SAF agent is restored or the messages
are moved to another store with a configured SAF agent.
The deleted SAF agent is unreachable and any producers that were
in conversation with the SAF agent receive an error message.
