Configure general virtual host properties

To configure the general properties for a virtual host:

  1. If you have not already done so, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Lock & Edit (see Use the Change Center).
  2. In the left pane of the Console, expand Environment and select Virtual Hosts.
  3. On the Summary of Virtual Hosts page, select the instance you want to configure.

If the table is empty, refer to Create a new virtual host.

  4. Select Configuration > General and update as necessary:
    1. Virtual Host Names - Host names, separated by line breaks, for which this virtual host will serve requests.
    2. Network Access Point Name - Dedicated server channel name (NetworkAccessPoint) for which this virtual host serves HTTP requests.

For more information on general destination attributes, see Configuration Options.

  5. Click Save.
  6. To activate these changes, in the Change Center of the Administration Console, click Activate Changes.
Not all changes take effect immediately—some require a restart (see Use the Change Center).
