Workaround

Navigating away from an Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-In page while an operation is in progress may cause Oracle Enterprise Manager to hang. An animated clock face cursor displays any time that a background process, such as the plug-in communicating with a Pillar Axiom system, is in progress. If you navigate away from a page while the clock cursor is visible, the process may hang.

Wait for the process to end, when the clock cursor changes to a normal cursor, before navigating away from the page.

[13499864] In Oracle Enterprise Manager, if you set preferred credentials to apply to all Oracle Axiom targets and then assign unique credentials to a specific Axiom target, when you use the plug-in with that Axiom target you will be prompted for credentials each time you navigate to a new page.

To avoid being prompted for credentials whenever you switch pages, choose one of the following options:

·         Set all of your Axiom administrator accounts and Oracle Axiom targets to use the same preferred credentials.

·         Assign unique credentials to each Oracle Axiom target, and do not specify preferred credentials for all Oracle Axiom targets.

[14745036] If you mask any of the controller ports when you create or modify a LUN with the Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-In for Pillar Axiom, it is not possible to subsequently unmask all controller ports. Even though an attempt to unmask all ports appears to succeed, one port always remains masked.

Use the Pillar Axiom Storage Services Manager (GUI) to remove the masking, or follow the steps below to remove the masking with the Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-In for Pillar Axiom:

1. In the Manage LUNs screen, select the LUN and choose Modify LUN.

2. Navigate to the Mapping tab, clear the Fibre Channel check box and click OK

NOTE: Do not attempt this if any host or application is actively using the LUN because the LUN will be removed from the FC bus.

3. Repeat steps 1 and 2, but this time, at Step 2, select the Fibre Channel check box and click OK.

If you cannot disrupt data access to the LUN, we recommend that you use the Pillar Axiom Storage Systems Manager (GUI) to rectify this situation.

[16005510] When the Oracle Enterprise Manager Plug-In for Pillar Axiom is in use, the target Pillar Axiom system records a substantially larger number of login and logout events than normal in its audit logs.

No workaround, but filtering out informational audit events might reduce the number of events recorded.

[16204030] When the number of alerts that Oracle Enterprise Manager can retrieve and display exceeds the maximum, you may have difficulty seeing all of the alerts on the Alerts page until the number of alerts drops below the maximum.

None.
