Sending the instance configuration to Endeca Workbench

You need to send your instance configuration to Endeca Workbench any time you make and save changes to your instance configuration that you want Endeca Workbench to see.

Examples of such changes include adding a new style to be used with dynamic business rules, or deleting a thesaurus entry.

Important: Set Instance Configuration overwrites all existing configuration files in Endeca Workbench. Any changes made in Workbench since the last use of Get Instance Configuration are lost. For this reason, Endeca recommends using the Deployment Template to manage your instance configuration. See the Endeca Deployment Template Usage Guide for more information.

To send your instance configuration from Developer Studio to Endeca Workbench:

In the Endeca IAP toolbar, click Set Instance Configuration The Set Instance Configuration button.. The new instance configuration is sent to Endeca Workbench. This new configuration does not take effect until you run an update.
