After completing this topic, you will be able to copy Decision frames and paths.
Steps:
You will select and copy the primary Decision path and two alternative Decision paths and paste them to another topic.
Step 3Select the Decision frame.
Click the D frame.
Step 4Select the primary path.
Press the [Ctrl] key and click the F frame after the Decision frame.
Step 5The Decision frame and all the frames in the primary decision path to the End frame are selected.
Step 6Add an alternative Decision path to the selection.
Press the [Ctrl] key and click the first F frame in the third path.
Step 7The alternative Decision path is added to the selection.
Step 8Add the last alternative Decision path to the selection.
Press the [Ctrl] key and click first F frame in the last path.
Step 9The last alternative Decision path is added to the selection.
Step 10You can use the menu or toolbar to copy and paste frames. Use the menu to copy the selected frames.
Click the Edit menu.
Step 11Click the Copy Frames command.
Step 12Switch to the topic in which you want to paste the copied frames.
Click the Using Print Preview tab.
Step 13Select the frame after which you want to paste the copied frames.
Click the second F frame.
Step 14Paste the copied frames.
Click the Edit menu.
Step 15Click the Paste Frames command.
Step 16Because the copy selection includes an End frame, a message box opens telling you that Start and End frames are converted to Explanation frames.
Click the OK button.
Step 17Save the topic.
Click the Save button.
Step 18The Decision paths appear in the topic.
Step 19View the pasted Decision frame.
Click the D frame to view the new paths.
Step 20After pasting Decision paths, you should check the results and remove any extra frames.
Step 21In this example, we removed the End frame, which was pasted as an Explanation frame, and the last F frame in the primary path because it was a duplicate of one of the pasted frames.
