Use the Required Option

After completing this topic, you will be able to use the Required option.

Steps:

1. Step 1

2. Click the Required option for the subject.

    

   This means that the users must complete the subject before going on to a post-assessment or completing the activity, if there is no post-assessment.

   Step 2

3. Depending on the size and resolution of your monitor, you may need to scroll the Activities page to view the Assessment sections at the bottom.

   Step 3

4. Click the Required option for the Pre-assessment.

    

   This means that the users must complete the pre-assessment before they can access the subject.

   Step 4

5. If desired, you can enable place-out. This allows the users to skip the subject if they achieve a specified score on the pre-assessment.

    

   Click the Allow place-out score option.

    

   Step 5

6. Double-click in the Place-out score field.

   Step 6

7. Enter the desired information into the Place-out score field. Enter "75".

    

   If a user achieves this score or higher on the pre-assessment, they do not need to take the subject.

   Step 7

8. Depending on the size and resolution of your monitor, you may need to scroll the Activities page to view the Assessment sections at the bottom.

   Step 8

9. Click the Required option for the Post-assessment.

    

   This means that the users must complete the post-assessment before they can complete the activity.

   Step 9

10. Double-click in the Required score field.

    Step 10

11. Enter the desired information into the Required score field. Enter  "75".

     

    If a user achieves this score or higher, the post-assessment is complete.

12. Click the Save button.
