Link Questions from the Library to an Outline

After completing this topic, you will be able to link questions from the Library to an outline.

Steps:

1. Select the document in the outline, below which you want to insert the question.

    

   Click the Saving a Document as a New File topic.

2. Use the Link menu to link a question.

    

   Click the Link menu.

3. Click the Existing Document command.

   Step 3

4. We have navigated to the folder containing the question you want to link. Select the question.

    

   Click the Saving a Document question.

   Step 4

5. Click the Link button.

   Step 5

6. You can also split the work area and drag questions into the open outline. Create a vertical split.

    

   Click the Vertical Layout button.

   Step 6

7. We have selected the Library tab and opened the Questions and Assessments folder. Drag the Print Preview question and drop it under the Using Print Preview topic in the outline.

    

   Press the left mouse button on the Print Preview question and drag the mouse to the desired location.

8. Drag the question to the outline and position the <documents will be inserted> placeholder under the Using Print Preview topic.

   Step 8

9. Release the mouse button.
