Outline Editor - Link an Existing Web Page

After completing this topic, you will be able to link a web page as a concept in the Outline Editor.

Steps:

1. Step 1

2. Select the document to which you want to link a web page.

    

   Click the Opening a Document topic.

4. Click the Create link button in the Concept pane.

   Step 4

5. Browse to the Library location where the web page is located. The file is in the

   Content/Attachments folder.

    

   Double-click the Content folder.

   Step 5

6. Double-click the Attachments folder.

   Step 6

7. Select the desired web page.

    

   Click the Document web page.

   Step 7

8. Click the OK button.

   Step 8

9. The web page appears in the Concept pane. Try the outline link in the Concept pane.

    

   Click the outline link.

   Step 9

10. The linked web page opens in a browser window. Close the browser window.

     

    Click the Close button.

    Step 10

11. Link the concept of the Creating and Opening Documents section to the WSG Link web page.

     

    Click the Creating and Opening Documents section.

13. Click the Create link button in the Concept pane.

14. Link the WSG Link web page to the concept.

     

    Click the WSG Link web page.

15. Click the OK button.

16. The image links to a web site stored in a package.

     

    Click the world image to open the linked web site.

    Step 16

17. Close the browser window.

     

    Click the Close button.
