Publish using Publishing Categories

After completing this topic, you will be able to publish using Publishing categories.

Steps:

1. We have created a new publishing category named WSG, which contains the System Process, Player, and Training Guide publishing projects.

   Step 1

2. Publish the Document Basics module for a Player format using the WSG category.

   Step 2

3. Click the Publish button.

   Step 3

4. Accept the default publishing destination.

    

   Click the Next > button.

   Step 4

5. Publish the selection only and deselect the option to skip the advanced options page.

    

   Click the Skip advanced options page option to deselect it.

   Step 5

6. Continue publishing.

    

   Click the Next > button.

   Step 6

7. Change the publishing category to WSG.

    

   Click the Change button.

   Step 7

8. Click the Category list.

   Step 8

9. Click the WSG category.

   Step 9

10. Click the OK button.

    Step 10

11. Click the Next > button.

    Step 11

12. Replace the old content.

     

    Click the Continue button.

    Step 12

13. Notice that the formats for the WSG category are limited to publishing a Player package, and System Process and Training Guide documents.

    Step 13

14. Click the Player and LMS option to publish a Player package.

    Step 14

15. Publish for the Player using the selected defaults.

     

    Click the Publish button.

    Step 15

16. Launch the content.

     

    Click the Finish button.

    Step 16

17. Notice the custom logo in the Player.
