Publish by Roles

After completing this topic, you will be able to publish and deploy Player content by Roles.

Steps:

1. Step 1

2. Publish the selected content.

    

   Click the File menu.

   Step 2

3. Click the Publish command.

   Step 3

4. Publish to the default publishing destination.

    

   Click the Next > button.

   Step 4

5. Publish the entire outline.

    

   Click the Publish entire outline option.

   Step 5

6. Filter the content by the Customer Support role.

    

   Click the Publish by roles option.

   Step 6

7. Click the Select Roles button.

   Step 7

8. Although the master role list may contain many roles, only the roles assigned to the selected content appear when you filter by roles.

9. Click the Customer Support option.

   Step 9

10. Click the OK button.

    Step 10

11. Skip the advanced options page and continue setting the publishing options.

     

    Click the Next > button.

    Step 11

12. Publish the content to the same publishing destination and replace the old content.

     

    Click the Continue button.

    Step 12

13. The Player option is already selected. Publish the content.

     

    Note: You can filter content for any player or print output.

     

    Click the Publish button.

    Step 13

14. Finish the publishing process and launch the content.

     

    Click the Finish button.

15. Only documents assigned to the Customer Support role are published.
