Stopping and uninstalling the Windows service

If your current instance of Studio is running as a Windows service, then before you can start the upgrade, you must first stop and uninstall the service.

1. To stop the service, from the Services list, right click the service, then click Stop.
2. To uninstall the service:
   1. From the command line, navigate to the Studio Tomcat bin directory.

      endeca_portal\tomcat-<version>\bin\

   2. Run the following command:

      service.bat uninstall
