The Publishing Wizard steps you through the publishing process. There are several screens of options, each of which is described in more detail in the following sections.
When the publishing process is finished, you have a number of options on the final screen:
Launch the content automatically: For Player packages, this option launches the Player window and displays the content. If you publish to multiple formats, or if you publish to document formats only, this option is disabled. In addition, if an error occurs during publishing, this option becomes View activity log. The log helps you to determine what caused the publishing error.
Open the folder where the content was published: This option opens a Windows Explorer browser window and displays the contents of the folder where the content was published.
Configure Player Options for In-Application Support: This option opens the Configuration Utility for the In-Application Support window used to set the ExactMatch Application Scripts, SmartMatch and Default Content URL's for In-Application Support. This link option opens the local Configuration Utility for the content in the publishing destination folder when you publish locally; if you choose to publish the content to the content server, this option opens the Configuration utility for the content on the server.
Note: If the server settings are incorrect or missing and the publishing process is unable to connect with the server, the content is still published to a Player package; however, this option does not appear.
Open the Knowledge Center Manager: This option opens the Manager used for managing content and users in Knowledge Center. Use this option to do additional configuration for content deployment through the Knowledge Center (available only in the Professional edition).
Note: If the server settings are incorrect or missing and the publishing process is unable to connect with the server, the content is still published to a Player package; however, this option does not appear on the final screen of the Publishing Wizard.
Close the Publishing Wizard: This option closes the Publishing Wizard without opening any windows or displaying content.
