After completing this topic, you will be able to link a new section and package as a concept in the Outline Editor.
Steps:
Select the parent document to which you want to link a new section.
Click the Document Basics module.
Step 1Insert a new section linked to a new package.
Click the Link menu.
Step 2Click the New Section with Package command.
Step 3The Create New Section with Package wizard opens.
Click the Next > button.
Step 4Enter the desired information into the Name field. Enter "Document Security".
Step 5Click the Next > button.
Step 6Add the files or folders you want to include in the package.
Click the Add Files button.
Step 7We have browsed to the folder containing the package files.
Step 8The video clip Hippa.wmv launches from an html file, which plays the clip directly in a player in the Concept pane. Video files that link directly to a concept do not play in the Concept pane, but launch a player application instead, such as Windows Media Player.
You will add the video clip and the html file that launches it to the package.
Step 9Click the Hippa.wmv file.
Step 10Press the [Ctrl] key and click the Hippa_Video Presentation.html file.
Step 11Click the Open button.
Step 12The Wizard shows the files you selected for the package.
Click the Next > button.
Step 13Notice that the new package is named after the section name with the word "Link" appended to the name.
You can change the package name and folder location in the Name field, or use the Browse button to save the package file to another folder.
Step 14Accept the default name and location of the package.
Click the Next > button.
Step 15If you added more than one file, this wizard page lets you select the file to link.
Click the Hippa_Video Presentation.html file.
Step 16Click the Finish button.
Step 17The video file appears in the Concept pane and starts playing.
