Publish by State

After completing this topic, you will be able to publish by State value.

Steps:

1. Publish the entire outline for a Player deployment, filtering the content by the In Review state.

    

   Click the Publish button.

   Step 1

2. Publish to the default destination.

    

   Click the Next > button to publish to the current publishing folder.

   Step 2

3. Publish the entire outline.

    

   Click the Publish entire outline option.

   Step 3

4. Publish by state.

    

   Click the Publish by states option.

   Step 4

5. Select the state(s).

    

   Click the Select States button.

   Step 5

6. Publish for the In Review state.

    

   Click the In Review option.

   Step 6

7. Click the OK button.

   Step 7

8. Click the Next > button.

   Step 8

9. Click the Next > button to publish the local content.

   Step 9

10. Click the Continue button to replace the content at the current publishing location.

    Step 10

11. Publish a Player deployment.

     

    Click the Player and LMS option.

    Step 11

12. Click the Publish button.

    Step 12

13. Finish the publishing process and launch the content.

     

    Click the Finish button.

14. Expand the content to view the published topics.

     

    Click the Expand button next to the Document Basics module.

    The Publishing Wizard published only the content assigned the In Review state.

     

    Notice that the Saving Documents section is not included in the published content even though it is assigned the In Review state. A parent document is not included in the output if none of its linked child documents are assigned to the filtered state (unless that parent also links to web page content).
