Cut, Copy, and Paste Sound Selections

After completing this topic, you will be able to cut, copy, and paste sound in the waveform.

Steps:

1. After listening to the playback, you decide that the second recorded paragraph would flow better if you moved it to the end of the recording.

    

   To start the move process, you have zoomed the timeline and selected the sound for the entire second paragraph.

   Step 1

2. Cut the paragraph to the clipboard.

    

   Click the Cut button.

   Step 2

3. In order to position the selection point, we have moved to the end of the recording and zoomed the timeline. Insert the selection point after the last recorded sound.

    

   Click in the waveform.

   Step 3

4. Paste the cut sound selection.

    

   Click the Paste button.

   Step 4

5. The sound selection is pasted at the end of the timeline.

   Step 5

6. We have adjusted the timeline to view the pasted sound segment.

    

   Note: Use the Copy button if you want to paste a copy of a sound selection within the same document or to another document.

   Step 6

After completing this topic, you are able to cut, copy, and paste sound in the waveform.
